Born and raised in Nigeria, Blaize Itodo is a creative, a self-taught freelance photojournalist, a documentary photographer/filmmaker and a media expert. His adventures in photography explore social-cultural issues in contemporary Africa, for him the African story must be told by Africans. He has explores this through long-form documentary visual storytelling and interventions in everyday happenings; socio-cultural and traditional issues, as Africa develop. In 2015, Blaize led a five member team of photographers to the first wildlife photography expedition in Nigeria to Okomu National Park in Edo State and Kainji Lake National Park in Niger State. He has been involved in setting up a couple of photography groups and communities for the advancement of photography in Abuja and environs. He was a Wiki-Nigeria photography Judge for 2018, 2019 competition in Nigeria and has participated in a number photography competitions and exhibitions both locally and internationally. Blaize has won some awards and commendations for his works over the years.
